SaveAqua tap is an efficient, self-closing faucet which can be installed on most plastic containers (use of adapters may be required) to create a water dispenser. It is similar in functionality to automatic faucets typically used in the public washrooms. SaveAqua tap do not require pressurized water infrastructure or electricity in order to work.

SaveAqua tap can be used to create washing stations in the locations where there is no typical water infrastructure.

  • Emergency preparedness kits

  • During emergencies when conventional water infrastructure is not available.

The patented SaveAqua tap can save you up to 60% of your sanitation water. In addition, it is more comfortable and easy to use compared to conventional faucets and is very easy to pack and transport.

No, the SaveAqua tap does not filter water and make it safe to drink. The SaveAqua tap is a portable self-closing water dispensing faucet that promotes personal hygiene.

Yes, this can be done. However, the SaveAqua tap was not designed to dispense liquids for drinking, so the main concern is contamination of the drinking water. Part of the SaveAqua tap can be dirty, when it used for sanitation purposes, so we recommend keeping drinking and sanitation water in separate containers.

We recommend to frequently disinfect the SaveAqua tap and the container it is installed on. This is even more important if water used with the SaveAqua tap is not potable. We recommend using chemicals, such as bleach, to disinfect the tap and container. Prolonged exposure of the SaveAqua tap to the temperatures above 40 ℃ (100 ℉) may affect tap functionality.

The SaveAqua tap and adapters are primarily made of durable ABS plastic. Some parts are rubber and the tap has a stainless steel spike tool. The SaveAqua tap and adapters will not corrode in most of the liquids, including water. All materials used to manufacture SaveAqua tap and adapters are FDA grade. We have a few taps which have been in heavy daily use for up to 4 years. These taps are still operating as intended.

The amount of water that can pass through the SaveAqua tap when it is fully opened depends on the water level above the tap. At water level of 60 centimetres (24 inches), the SaveAqua tap will dispense up to 6 litres per minute (1.6 gallons (US) per minute) of water; this is comparable with typical aerated bathroom faucet.

We cannot tell because we have no experience with teaching animals to drink from SaveAqua tap. Please remember that there is a spike tool under the guard. The spike tool may harm the animal, or person, if the lid is not put back on as directed.

The SaveAqua tap is a unique, patented product that is new to market. At the moment, you can only buy our tap from SaveAqua distributors listed on our website and online through our website’s shop page. Our team can often be found at various trade shows such as camping, sportsman, and survival trade shows.

Yes, our water saving taps are recyclable. Please check with your nearest recycling facility; plastic parts can be recycled as Code #9 or #ABS  or  #7.

We also love RVing. Even when RVing we are trying to maximize time we spend outdoors. We cook and eat outside, unless weather keeps us inside the RV. To minimize load on RV facilities and extend time between water filling and dumping waste, we always set up a washstation outside.
