SaveAqua tap is an efficient, self-closing faucet which can be installed on most plastic containers (use of adapters may be required) to create a water dispenser. It is similar in functionality to automatic faucets typically used in the public washrooms. SaveAqua tap do not require pressurized water infrastructure or electricity in order to work.

Is SaveAqua tap a water filter?
No, the SaveAqua tap does not filter water and make it safe to drink. The SaveAqua tap is a portable self-closing water dispensing faucet that promotes personal hygiene.
Can I fill up a bottle or glass with water from a container using the SaveAqua tap?
Yes, this can be done. However, the SaveAqua tap was not designed to dispense liquids for drinking, so the main concern is contamination of the drinking water. Part of the SaveAqua tap can be dirty, when it used for sanitation purposes, so we recommend keeping drinking and sanitation water in separate containers.
How can I wash or disinfect the SaveAqua tap?
We recommend to frequently disinfect the SaveAqua tap and the container it is installed on. This is even more important if water used with the SaveAqua tap is not potable. We recommend using chemicals, such as bleach, to disinfect the tap and container. Prolonged exposure of the SaveAqua tap to the temperatures above 40 ℃ (100 ℉) may affect tap functionality.
How durable is the SaveAqua tap?
The SaveAqua tap and adapters are primarily made of durable ABS plastic. Some parts are rubber and the tap has a stainless steel spike tool. The SaveAqua tap and adapters will not corrode in most of the liquids, including water. All materials used to manufacture SaveAqua tap and adapters are FDA grade. We have a few taps which have been in heavy daily use for up to 4 years. These taps are still operating as intended.
How much water is dispensed when the SaveAqua tap is open?
The amount of water that can pass through the SaveAqua tap when it is fully opened depends on the water level above the tap. At water level of 60 centimetres (24 inches), the SaveAqua tap will dispense up to 6 litres per minute (1.6 gallons (US) per minute) of water; this is comparable with typical aerated bathroom faucet.
Can animals be taught to use the SaveAqua tap for drinking water?
We cannot tell because we have no experience with teaching animals to drink from SaveAqua tap. Please remember that there is a spike tool under the guard. The spike tool may harm the animal, or person, if the lid is not put back on as directed.

Can the SaveAqua tap be recycled?
Yes, our water saving taps are recyclable. Please check with your nearest recycling facility; plastic parts can be recycled as Code #9 or #ABS or #7.
We own an RV and usually use facilities in the RV for our hygiene needs. Why do we need your tap?
We also love RVing. Even when RVing we are trying to maximize time we spend outdoors. We cook and eat outside, unless weather keeps us inside the RV. To minimize load on RV facilities and extend time between water filling and dumping waste, we always set up a washstation outside.
